In addition to completing a rigorous orthopaedic surgery residency, I received subspecialty training in the area of reconstructive surgery for complex foot and ankle problems. These challenges can include arthritis, deformities, chronic pain, diabetic foot deformities, flat feet, bunions, and neuromas.

As a foot and ankle doctor, I care for many sports- related foot and ankle problems including heel pain, ankle instability, sprains, and tendon injuries,  using state-of-the art, minimally invasive techniques, including ankle arthroscopy.

Total ankle replacement has offered hope and a remedy for some patients suffering from painful arthritis of the ankle joint.

Procedures Performed

  • Total ankle replacement
  • Ankle arthrodesis/fusion
  • Posterior tibial tendon reconstruction
  • Peroneal tendon repair
  • Ankle ligament repair and stabilization
  • Achilles tendon repair
  • Great Toe (1st metatarsophalangeal) fusion
  • Hammertoe correction
  • Bunion/Hallux valgus correction
  • Calcaneus fracture care
  • Flatfoot Correction
  • Achilles tendinitis treatment

Fracture care is another large part of my practice. I am often able to treat many of these without surgery, using various casts or braces. When necessary, I repair fractures using the most current surgical techniques and methods, including plates, rods, screws, external fixators, and bone stimulators. Examples of fracture surgery I perform include:

  • Calcaneus fractures
  • Ankle fractures
  • Wrist fractures
  • Knee fractures
  • Hip and Femur fractures
  • Forearm fractures
  • Humerus and shoulder fractures
  • Foot fractures

While I am an orthopaedic surgeon, a significant percentage of orthopaedic problems can be treated medically, without surgery.  Common conditions that I see and treat in my office include:

  • Painful flat feet
  • Sprains
  • Bursitis
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Back pain/strain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Trigger fingers
  • Cortisone and other joint injections
  • Arthritis
  • Tendonitis

I also perform arthroscopic procedures of the knee on a frequent basis.
