My professional passion centers on the treatment of foot and ankle disorders, providing advanced fracture care, and embracing the broader field of general orthopedics. This dedication is grounded in a robust educational and training background.

My journey into specialized care began with a subspecialty fellowship in foot and ankle surgery, undertaken at the renowned Harbor UCLA Medical Center and Balance Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center. This experience was pivotal in shaping my approach and expertise in addressing complex foot and ankle conditions.

Further foundational to my career was a comprehensive 5-year orthopedic residency at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. Here, I deepened my knowledge and honed my skills across the spectrum of orthopedic care. My academic path was initially set at Northwestern University, where I was part of the selective Honors Program in Medical Education. This accelerated program allowed me to complete both my undergraduate and medical school education in six years, providing a fast-tracked entrance into the medical profession.

I also pursued a mini-fellowship in trauma and fracture care with the AO North American Trauma and Fracture Care Travel Preceptorship at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. This specialized training further equipped me to manage and treat complex trauma cases and fractures with a high level of expertise.

Currently, I hold the position of chairman of the department of surgery at Advocate Condell Medical Center. In addition, I am one of the lead orthopedic trauma physicians at the center, which is Lake County’s sole Level 1 trauma facility. This role underscores my commitment to delivering exceptional care to those in critical need, leveraging my extensive training and expertise in orthopedics to make a significant impact on patient outcomes.
